PREHEATING OF RUBBER PROFILES: GUIDELINES FOR DETERMINING PREHEATING REQUIREMENT AND SELECTION OF PROPER PREHEATER TECHNOLOGY

< Back to Technical Library

The selection of preheating ovens is product and profile dependent. Customers often have profiles with small “lips” or other features which are moved out of position due to the weight or shape of the profile. Other profiles may be large and/or have complicated geometry (ribs, lips, undercuts, thin wall tubes, etc.) that tend to collapse on themselves due to weight and shape. Increasing the shape stability of the profile is often the primary consideration when selecting the type of preheater.
